Viva la France

Viva La France
Date of travel: 14th of february - 24th of february 2011.

For our 21st annual Mid-Winter cruise were choosing the French West Indies for their striking beauty, gracious people and civilized attitude toward body acceptance. We will be visiting the finest nude beaches in the Caribbean, if not the whole world.

All of the populated islands we are visiting are provinces of France with representation in French parliament.  The towns are clean, the people educated, outgoing and eager to make your acquaintance. All beaches, at the very least, are topless.

If there were World Heritage beaches for nudists, one would be Orient Beach on St. Marten and another, Governor’s Beach on St. Barths. Both have been nude for decades. Orient beach has probably converted more people to nude recreation than all of the “nude associations” put together. Club Orient is the “gold standard” for all true nudists resorts in the western hemisphere. Sun, white, warm -between your toes sand-, turquoise-blue water, best bar-b-que on any beach, world class duty free shopping in Phillipsburg and gourmet dining up the road in Grand Case- there’s not much more to wish for.  There’s probably not a super model alive that has not been photographed nude on Governors beach on St. Barths. Cindy Craford, Rachel Hunter, Eva Herezigova-all have shed their suits to be immortalized by best photographers of the day on this magnificent stretch of sand.  Settled by French Normans the long forgotten language is still spoken by the natives of the island- the women still wear the “flying nun” type headdresses.

Guadeloupe and Martinique have their own special appeal. Martinique lost its Capitol to the St. Pierre volcano in 1906. Excursions are possible to the still active lava flows. The term “fire and brimstone” becomes real. Guadeloupe has unbelievable flora, dense jungle, jagged peaks, breathtaking waterfalls and several colorful butterflies that exist nowhere else. The island itself is shaped like a butterfly. Snorkeling and water sports at both islands are superior. The first nude beach in the western hemisphere was opened in Martinique-by a forward thinking Catholic Priest.

Just in case you don’t get enough beach in the French West Indies, we’ve added a final island, CocoaCay in the Bahamas; created by the cruise line for complete hedonistic, tropical island enjoyment. It’s the perfect place to even out that tan before returning home just before the March winds.

All this is yours on our 10 -day, 10-night cruise of the French West Indies, Including two full days at sea with the amenities and entertainment Celebrity is famous for. Clothing optional cruising has never been better or more affordable.

These are the best prices we have ever offered in our 20 years of doing business. As the economy recovers, as it’s bound to do or we’re all in trouble, prices will go up. Cruising has always been the most economical, convenient and enjoyable vacation option available. Un-pack once, visit the best of the Caribbean and meet interesting and enjoyable new friends. Be professionally entertained. Be pampered in the spa. Burn a few calories in the gym. Put them back on with a drink at one of the 7 bars. Try your hand at the casino. Dine lavishly- maybe too lavishly. All this and more, for about the same price as the heating oil it will take to keep you warm if you stay home this winter and watch the travel channel on T.V.

Come with me. Meet new friends, feel the kiss of the sun on bare skin, wear a pareo and still feel warm. Wear no pareo and fit right in.  No excuses! Call today to be on board one of our very best cruises-ever.

See you there!

Ports of Call
St. Barthelemy – better known as St. Barts – has been polished to a high glass.  Long since popular as an exclusive getaway for the rich and famous, St. Barts is an exquisitely beautiful island.  The trendy cafes tucked around the harbor have become favorite watering holes for the wealthy.  Bougainvillea trails in profusion along narrow roads leading to secluded white sand beaches.  Whether you’re after the glamorous life of the jet-setting glitterati, or simply the hushed bucolic village vibe, St. Barts will not disappoint.  A hike around Morne Vitet, St. Barts highest point, is like wandering through Brittany-transplanted-to-the-tropics.

Guadeloupe – Grande-Terre and Basse-Terre – the two islands that make up butterfly-shaped Guadeloupe – are separated by a narrow salt river. It is a scenic wonder, with rain forests, golden beaches and an active volcano with a vibrant joie de vivre and rich Creole
culture.  French colonist claimed Guadeloupe in 1635 and have held rule for the past 374 years. Sugar cane plantations, cascading waterfalls, tree ferns and orchids, colorful flower
markets, gourmet Creole restaurants, and picturesque seaside villages are but a few of the things you can expect to experience on this historic and VERY French island.

Martinique –the southernmost of the French Antilles, Martinique is located
between St. Lucia and Dominica. Martinique remains one of the most alluring and enchanting destinations in the world; as unforgettable as a summer romance or a first kiss. Martinique is an overseas region of France, and in keeping with its traditions, this vibrant island stirs the passions with awe-inspiring natural beauty, a rich cultural history, distinctive culinary delights, warm smiles and so much more. It has beautiful mountains, tangled rain forests, and long strands of white and black sand beaches.

St. Martin/St. Maarten –is the smallest land mass in the world shared by two countries.  St. Martin, the northern, more bohemian  and laid-back side of the island is French, and St. Maarten, the southern part of the island is Dutch.  Only 37 square miles in size, a taxi can tour the entire island is only 3 hours. Orient Beach (on the northeast coast) with gentle rolling surf and long straight white sand beach make it one of the most popular and well known nude beaches in the world.

CocoCay® - Surrounded by the gentle, translucent waters of the Bahamas chain lies the secluded island of Coco Cay®. With its white-sand beaches and spectacular surroundings, CocoCay® is a wonderland of adventure.
